Installation & Notes

• Replacement Strategy: When swapping this into a USDM Forester, you must use your original intake & exhaust manifolds, coil packs, spark plugs, cam gears, engine harness. Because this is Dual AVCS, many installers choose to leave the exhaust AVCS unplugged if the USDM ECU does not support it, or upgrade to a JDM ECU/Standalone for full functionality.

 

• Required Maintenance: We recommend a new timing belt kit, water pump, and fresh spark plugs before installation.
