TCM Relearn: After installation, a "CVT Learning" procedure is required using a professional diagnostic tool (such as Subaru Select Monitor or a high-end scan tool) to calibrate the new transmission to your vehicle's computer.

Fluid Requirement: Use only genuine Subaru CVTF-II (Green) fluid. Using standard automatic transmission fluid (ATF) or incorrect CVT fluid will cause immediate internal damage to the chain and pulleys.

Maintenance: It is highly recommended to replace the torque converter seal, axle seals, and the CVT oil cooler O-rings while the transmission is out of the vehicle to prevent future leaks.
